Eric Wilson, formerly of the American ska punk band Sublime, drummer Bud Gaugh, and singer and guitarist Rome Ramirez have formed a musical group called Sublime with Rome. The name of the group alludes not only to the first name of one of the singers, but also to the fact that the majority of the songs they play are by the original Sublime, a band that was led by Bradley Nowell until his passing in 1996.

The original band members Ramirez, Wilson, and Gaugh released their debut album Yours Truly in 2011 and it debuted at number 10 on the Billboard 200. They performed songs from the album Sublime live. Gaugh quit the group early on, but Ramirez and Wilson have stuck with it ever since. They just brought in Joe Tomino to replace Josh Freese and Carlos Verdugo as drummers.

The band recently went on tour in celebration of their popular album Blessings from 2019, which saw success with alternative radio thanks to the tracks "Wicked Heart" and "Light On." The band's third studio album, Blessings, was produced by Rob Cavallo, who has worked with Green Day, My Chemical Romance, Linkin Park, and other artists. 2020 saw Sublime With Rome top the charts for rock and alternative music and play sold-out gigs at major festivals, amphitheaters, and sheds all over the world. Last year, Sublime With Rome had a very successful tour with Incubus.

Sublime With Rome has three albums of their original music. They also just recently released their new EP, Tangerine Skies.

Sublime with Rome currently has over 642k monthly listeners on Spotify and around 261 million lifetime listens. This is on top of legacy statistics, which also included 8 million monthly listeners. Still the number one song with over 660 million plays is "Santeria." According to Spotify statistics, "What I Got" and "Badfish" have received over 421 million and 165 million streams, respectively, after this. Fans of Sublime with Rome may look forward to a new album produced at Sonic Ranch in 2024, which will follow Tangerine Skies.

Rome shares, “This collection of songs has been years in the making - some of the tracks originating as demos during the pandemic, we took this music out to Texas to fully realize it as an album.” Listeners can anticipate songs that showcase Sublime's beginnings and their evolution with sounds new and instantly recognizable.
